Android app, that is, not the Web-based mapping tool—isn't as comprehensive as previous major updates. However, the move to Google Maps 9.1 does add in a few fun and useful features for Maps fans.
Now, if you look up a destination in Google Maps and tap the pin that pops up for more details, you're treated to a bit more information about the location you're attempting to get to. That's assuming, of course, that Google has the extra info on hand. What works well for a hotel, for example, might not work as well for a more obscure location (or, obviously, a personal address).
